What you should know before you leave or delete
loi_sync.py or My AIs → Growth pack) remains on your machine and is not deleted by Loi.This Privacy Policy describes how Loi (the platform operated at loinets.com and related domains, together with its operators and the founder individually for liability purposes as described in the Terms of Use — collectively, "Loi," "we," "us") handles information when you use the Loi AI hosting service.
Contact for privacy requests: privacy@loinets.com. Support: support@loinets.com.
Account data: name, email, hashed password, plan and subscription metadata (via Stripe when billing is enabled), and optional GitHub linkage you connect.
AI / content data: files and code you upload or push; runtime configuration (entry points, env vars you set); chat and bridge messages stored so you can export growth packs; build logs and ledger events; container/runtime metadata needed to host your AI.
Sound prints (only if you turn on "Help Balo get your sound right"): when this is on in Work songs, songs you add there are measured in your browser and we keep only the resulting numbers — how energy spreads across frequencies, loudness, dynamics, stereo width, tempo and pitch balance — linked to your account. We never receive the audio, song names or file names, and Spotify playback is never measured. Balo learns about sound from these numbers. Turn it off at any time; "Forget mine" deletes every print you gave, and deleting your account deletes them too.
Balo chats and creations: what you type to Balo and the images, video and voice you ask it to make are sent to the AI providers listed in section 6 to produce the answer or the media. Loi stores your chats so you can export them (section 4).
Technical data: standard server logs (IP, user agent, request metadata), authentication session data, and operational diagnostics.
We do not sell your personal information. We process it to provide and secure the service, bill when applicable, and comply with law.
Loi stores chat/bridge turns (and linked Training Studio samples when present) so you can pull a growth pack into local tooling on your computer — learning files and fine-tune datasets you can apply yourself. Loi does not open connections into your home network and does not write folders on your machine. Once a successful pull has written data to your machine, that copy is under your control. Loi does not export trained weight/adapter binaries from Training Studio; local apply is how local AI on your computer improves.
From Settings you may download an account export (metadata + growth packs + recoverable files) and, per AI, download recoverable code. Connect-an-Agent / git-push workflows keep your primary code in your own git remotes; Loi is a deploy mirror for those AIs.
When you request account deletion, Loi stops your AI containers, cancels paid subscription where possible, and schedules permanent purge after a grace period (default 14 days, configurable by operators). During grace you may cancel deletion by signing in and restoring the account. After purge, account data, hosted files, and unsynced transcripts are permanently destroyed from Loi systems (subject to residual backups retained briefly for disaster recovery, then overwritten on normal backup rotation).
We use infrastructure and vendors necessary to run Loi (hosting providers, object storage such as S3/R2, email delivery, and Stripe for payments when enabled). Those providers process data under their terms and our configuration. Do not upload secrets you are not willing to store with those processors.
AI providers. When you talk to Balo, your messages are sent to OpenAI (chat replies and images) to produce the answer. Voice and video requests are sent to Google (Gemini and Veo). Balo may also run on Loi's own server, which passes your message to the same providers. If an agent you host uses Loi's brain, the messages that agent sends to its model pass through Loi to OpenAI, so anyone who talks to your agent should be told that. We do not keep those messages beyond the request itself, apart from the usage counts needed to apply fair-use limits.
Contact forms on sites you build. If a website you build with Balo has a contact form, what a visitor types (their name, email, message and optional phone number) is sent to Loi and emailed to your account email. We do not store those messages after sending them. Tell your visitors that their message passes through Loi, and treat what they send you as personal data of your own. These providers process your text and requests under their own terms, and may be located outside your country. Do not put passwords, secrets or other people's private details into a chat.
Advertising and measurement. A Google Ads tag is on every page so we can measure our ads. If you press "Accept all", we also load the LinkedIn Insight Tag. They may set their own cookies and receive details such as your browser, pages visited and network address, and they are controlled by Google and LinkedIn under their own policies. If you choose "Essential only", LinkedIn is not loaded.
You can change your mind at any time: .
It is on for your own chats with Balo, and you can switch it off at any time. We tell you when it starts. In Settings → Help teach Balo, Loi uses your conversations with Balo, and your image and video requests, to teach Balo. For AIs you host, and what their own customers say, it stays off unless you turn it on. We use only the text you typed and whether the request worked or was declined — never the pictures, videos or audio themselves. When Balo builds a site for you we also learn from how it turned out, using only counts and labels such as how many pages it has and whether you published or downloaded it, never the words or pictures on it. Before anything leaves Loi we remove email addresses, phone numbers, ID-like numbers, IP addresses and secrets such as keys and passwords, and we tag each lesson with an anonymous code rather than your name or email.
Where it goes. Lessons are held for up to 30 days on Loi's server (Hetzner) in [COUNTRY — to be completed by UAO], then copied to the computer of the UAO team member who runs Balo's learning, located in [COUNTRY — to be completed by UAO], where they are added to Balo's training notebooks and used to train Balo's own small models. Lessons that stay in those notebooks are kept for [PERIOD — to be completed by UAO] and then deleted. We do not sell lessons or give them to anyone else.
Taking it back. Turn the switch off, or delete your account, and we delete the lessons tied to your anonymous code from Loi's server and from Balo's notebooks and small models on the UAO computer. This happens when the UAO computer next collects updates, which we aim to do within [PERIOD — to be completed by UAO]. Two honest limits: a model that has already been trained cannot have one person's lesson taken back out of it — we rebuild Balo's small models from the cleaned notebooks, but we cannot promise the effect of a lesson is gone from a model built earlier — and a very short message may be too generic for us to find its exact copy safely. Write to privacy@loinets.com if you want us to check.
Refusals. When Balo declines a request (see the Terms), that request and Balo's reply can also become a lesson, but only if you have this switch on. To keep Balo's refusals accurate, requests Balo declines or nearly declines may also be kept, clipped and without your name, on Loi's server for up to [PERIOD — to be completed by UAO] so a person can check Balo got them right, whether or not the switch is on.
Our legal basis (where the law asks for one): your consent, which you can withdraw at any time without affecting anything else in Loi.
Lessons for teaching Balo: 30 days on Loi's server, then deleted; how long they stay in Balo's notebooks is set out under "Teaching Balo" above. Active accounts: data retained while the account is open and as needed for the service. Soft-deleted accounts: retained until the scheduled purge date. Backups: limited operational retention. Ledger and billing records may be retained longer where required for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligation.
We use industry-typical controls (access control, hashed passwords, network isolation for AI containers where configured). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for protecting deploy tokens, Bridge keys, and credentials you place in environment variables.
Loi is not directed to children under 16 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Use in-product export/delete tools where available, or email privacy@loinets.com. We may need to verify your identity. Some requests may be limited by law or legitimate operational needs.
Loi may be hosted and processed in jurisdictions different from yours. By using the service you understand your information may be transferred to and processed where we and our providers operate.
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date and, when appropriate, additional notice in the product. Continued use after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy to the extent permitted by law.
